| The Duette pin that converts the fur clips into a brooch is missing. The set in thickly plated rhodium. These are definitely old and not repros. From the 40's era. Cockatoos measure 3 1/2 in.'s long, and nearly 1 1/2 in.'s wide. They have a patent number that is very hard to read, this is the best I can make out 11649. They are featured in Schiffer's book - Fun Jewelry - page 142. Coro designer Gene Verrecchio created these in 1941. A great buy and a super collectible! |
