| A magnificent antique bracelet with so much beauty and design. It has palmette leaves, with open pierce work. Leaves have a ribbed motif and swirls at the top of each. The last leaf on each side has a small deep amber stone that attaches to the gorgeous center attraction that has a bottom layer of tiny raised flowers and leaves, again has open pierced work. A foiled amber colored faceted glass stone takes center stage with prongs made up of leaves and stems that hold the stone in place. This beauty measures 7 1/2 in.'s long, center piece 1 1/2 in.'s wide 2 in.'s long -included in lenght of bracelet. It is a polished rich looking brass and has a ring closure which may have been replaced, I'm not sure. The foil on the stone has two very minor scratches which is be expected for the age of this bracelet, but over all, excellent condition. Circa 1860-1870 |
