This vintage pony tail hair adornment is made to pull the long hair through and then press and clamp closed. as in a pony tail. It has large clear rhinestones on all four corners of each triangle and expands to 3 in.'s inside diameter and closes to as small as 1 1/4 in.'s. This piece is hard to date but the stones are rivited in on the back, they are also hand set, so this says something about age, 50's - 60's possibly earlier. It is a lovely piece and will certainly make the hair sparkle. There isn't a dark stone and is in excellent condition.
