McClelland Barclay Emerald Bracelet Extremly beautiful and rare this McClelland Barclay bracelet was designed by McClelland Barclay whose career was short lived when he was killed in WWII. His jewelry was sought after then, as it is now. This design is wide, measuring 1 1/4 at the top and is in silver plated metal, with raised emerald green and diamante stones and open cut work on the front design with a hinged closure at the side. It was an inspiration from the Deco period and was part of the 1941 Fall Collection in Womens Wear Daily. The bracelet is featured in several books including American Costume Jewelry Art & Industry 1935-1950, page 42, by Carla Ginelli Brunialti and Roberto Brunialti. Signed and in remarkable condition. Stones are bright and clear and all intact. There are a couple of minor wear spots on the plateing.
